LANDMAR GROUP HIRES KAREN BARNES AS MARKETING COORDINATOR

JACKSONVILLE, Florida – LandMar Group LLC is pleased to welcome Karen Barnes to the company as the marketing coordinator for Shipyards, North Florida’s first urban master-planned community located along the St. Johns River in downtown Jacksonville.

In her role, Barnes will assist in planning and executing all on-site marketing functions as well as assist future residents of Shipyards to enjoy all that downtown Jacksonville has to offer. In addition, she will coordinate special events, a community newsletter and the Resident Welcome program for the company.

“Karen’s comprehensive knowledge of promotions, combined with her extensive marketing experience and true passion for downtown made her the perfect choice for marketing coordinator at Shipyards,” said Northeast Florida Regional Marketing Manager Anne Jessup. “Karen’s talents will be used to help develop a vibrant community full of life and excitement – a place where future residents can begin to enjoy the benefits of downtown living.”

Prior to joining LandMar, Barnes served as the promotions director for Downtown Vision, a nonprofit organization in Jacksonville. She earned her bachelor’s degree in American Studies at the University of California in Santa Cruz.
